Personalised Penguin Family Portrait Print - Based on an original free-motion sewn design by Bek Tainton
These cute penguins make the perfect family portrait as well as a great Christmas present! There are lots of different combinations possible. I can fit up to 6 penguins on A4 as long as some of them are children and up to max of 9 on A3, but again, at least 4 of them will need to be children so that they will fit. Frame NOT included.
How to buy:
1) Add this item (either A4 or A3) to your basket.
2) In the drop down box 'Add your personalisation', I will need the following information:
* which penguins you would like (each penguin has a letter A-G next to it, scroll through the photos to see the choices)
* Tell me the names you would like and ages Eg Penguin A James (adult), Penguin D Tom (age 5), penguin G Tilly (aged 2), Penguin B Sally (adult). the ages will help me to size your penguins. If one of you is particularly tall or short and you want this reflected in the picture, then please let me know.
* If you want the penguins in a specific order, the please write the names in the order you would like, left to right, otherwise I will put the adults at either side with the children in the middle
* The Title you would like at the top Eg The Tainton family, My clan etc etc
3) Please allow time for me to create your order-I will keep you informed so that you know when it is ready and will aim for a one week turn around, however, I have put 1-2 weeks in the listing just in case. All orders will be ready in time for Christmas.
4) Enjoy your print
This is a print of my original sewn artwork using free motion sewing. The image on this print captures the texture of the fabric and the stitch detail of the original artwork in a vibrant and fun design. Free motion sewing is literally like using a sewing machine to draw with, where the fabric is the paper and the thread is the ink. The only difference is that the fabric (paper) is moved under the thread (ink) rather than the other way around! I use a 50 year old Pfaff sewing machine, that belonged to my grandmother. There's no fancy tricks or modern technology, but I wouldn't change my machine for the world!

* All prints are posted in a hard backed recycled envelope to protect them in the post.
* Supplied in a clear, compostable and biodegradable Nativia ® film cellos**
* Postage is via Royal Mail 1st class in the UK
* Eco-Friendly - My packaging, from envelopes and backing boards to tissue paper and packing tape, is environmentall-friendly, using recycled, re-cyclable and /or biodegradable products. I have searched long and hard for alternatives to products that damage our planet and is something of a mission of mine!

* Please be mindful that colours may vary slightly due to different screen settings
**Nativia ® film is made from corn or other sources such as sugar beet and potatoes and conforms to the EN1342 standard, meaning it is biodegradable and compostable. It has also achieved the OK Biobased certificate from Vincotte. Nativia ® film breaks down quickly into carbon dioxide, water and biomass by microbial digestion in the right conditions. The film is sourced from renewable sources and is food safe.
Nativia ® can be industrially composted by placing it in a green waste collection bin and will disintegrate in six months to CO2, water and humus, a soil nutrient. It is possible to pace it in the food waste collection, but check with your local council first. It can also be mechanically and chemically recycled (not with other plastics because it has a lower melting temperature) and it can be incinerated. Nativia ® films do not biodegrade in landfill conditions.
