Giraffes parent and baby framed mini print - Based on an original free-motion sewn design by Bek Tainton
This print captures the texture of the fabric and the stitch detail of the original artwork in a vibrant and fun design.
My giraffes were the second of my animal 'couple' designs (after the flamingos!). Inspired by my love of nature and animals! This print would look great in a nursery or in a child's bedroom/ playroom and would be perfect for adding to a baby shower or new baby gift. This design is also available as a greeting card, a postcard and as a print (see separate listing).
Free motion sewing is literally like using a sewing machine to draw with, where the fabric is the paper and the thread is the ink. The only difference is that the fabric (paper) is moved under the thread (ink) rather than the other way around! I use a 50 year old Pfaff sewing machine, that belonged to my grandmother. There's no fancy tricks or modern technology, but I wouldn't change my machine for the world!
