HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CARDS:
1) First add this item to your basket (by clicking 'add to cart') and complete your purchase.
2) Next contact me via Etsy with your choice of 5 postcards. Each of my postcard has a name (the first bit of the title in each listing) so you can use that, or you can send me a description of the postcards you would like if that is easier. Please make sure you are as clear as possible if doing it this way as I have some postcards that are very similar Eg the bike with or without words. However, if I am unsure which ones you mean, then I will ask, so please don't worry!!
3) Await your happy post!
All postcards are based on an original free-motion sewn design by myself, Bek Tainton
The print on my cards captures the texture of the fabric and the stitch detail of the original artwork in a vibrant and fun design.
Free motion sewing is literally like using a sewing machine to draw with, where the fabric is the paper and the thread is the ink. The only difference is that the fabric (paper) is moved under the thread (ink) rather than the other way around! I use a 50 year old Pfaff sewing machine, that belonged to my grandmother. There's no fancy tricks or modern technology, but I wouldn't change my machine for the world!
* I have also listed some pre-prepared sets if you would prefer to purchase them this way!* All cards is blank inside so that you can write your own message and comes with a recycled Kraft style envelope.
* 150mm x 105mm
* Printed on 350gsm heavyweight recycled card
* All cards are posted in a hard backed recycled envelope to protect them in the post.
* Postage is via Royal Mail 1st class in the UK
* Eco-Friendly - My packaging, from envelopes and backing boards to tissue paper and packing tape, is environmentall-friendly, using recycled, re-cyclable and /or biodegradable products. I have searched long and hard for alternatives to products that damage our planet and is something of a mission of mine!
